StartAfresh, a horticulture lab. in New Zealand, carried out NIR experiments on kiwifruits using Sunforest and Felix devices through out the harvest season 2020 New Zealand under a contract by Zespri International.

In this Zespri R&D Day, StartAfresh presented their test results on portable NIR devices for Gold and Hayward kiwifruits.

Test results proved that Sunforest H-100C has superior performance than other device.

Further test shall be continued for on-orchard trials in 2021 season to realize NZ-developed model to be commercially available for kiwifruit industry.
